Ann Williams: Another Corrupt District Judge

Williams, the former Clarke County Attorney, has been accused of several questionable actions during her tenure. She failed to prosecute the Clarke County High School’s girls’ soccer coach despite video proof of abuse and multiple testimonies from young girls, instead choosing to ignore the abuse of children and women to cover up criminal activity by the Board of Supervisors and School Board.

Additionally, she did not intervene in the case of a young adult man arrested for brutalizing a small child, potentially due to political connections, and failed to ask the State Police or Attorney General to investigate, instead opting to do political favors for certain individuals, such as Catlett and her husband, a doctor and professor at the University of West Virginia. This decision allowed the case to “go away” without proper attention, prioritizing the interests of the accused over the needs of the victim.

Williams has also been criticized for her biased comments, including referring to President Trump as a “Convicted Felon” and making derogatory remarks about conservatives, despite presenting herself as a conservative. Moreover, she received a report of a pro-transgender activist attacking someone helping a conservative candidate campaign, which was captured on video in front of a government office. Her handling of this incident is unclear, but it raises further concerns about her ability to remain impartial.

These accusations suggest a pattern of behavior that prioritizes political connections and personal interests over the needs of victims and the pursuit of justice. Williams’ ability to “fail upward” and become a District Court Judge, thanks in part to her father, a recently retired judge, has only added to the concerns about her fitness for the role.
